Located within a 187-acre park, this secluded area is perfect for observing natural habitats or learning something new inside of the Nature Center. Much like a museum, the Nature Center houses various displays for you to enjoy and spend time learning about wildlife.
The Nature Center includes 8- bird mounts (ranging from waterfowl, birds of prey, and songbirds), 20 mammal mounts, educational displays, a live bee observation hive, Native American artifacts (found locally), and a touch and explore room.
Planning Your Visit
Throughout the year, the York County Department of Parks and Rec offers various programs from storytime to day camps and workshops. You can learn more about these at their site. You’ll find the Nature Center open May through August at the following times:
Monday: Not Open
Tuesday – Saturday: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Sunday: 12 Noon to 4:30 PM
