Lancaster Central Market
Hours: Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.*
In the heart of downtown Lancaster City is the oldest continuously operating farmers’ market in the United States.
Since the 1930s, farmers have traveled to Lancaster Central Market to provide locals with in-season produce, farm-fresh meats, freshly-baked goods, cheeses, flowers, crafts, international foods, and more.
Not only are the vendors something to behold, the building itself—constructed in 1889—is the oldest farmers’ market building in the country. Making it a must-see for anyone who appreciates classic architecture.
(*Lancaster Central Market is closed on major holidays. In those instances, the market is open the day before the holiday.)

Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market
Hours: Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (additional hours Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. April through July)
Family-owned and operated for over 50 years, Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market has remained a local treasure. And for good reason.
The indoor market features local produce and meats, tasty cheeses, and freshly baked goods year-round. Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market is also a fantastic place to pick up authentic Amish wares: from handmade crafts to quilts and leather goods.

Green Dragon Farmers Market and Auction
Hours: Every Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The largest Amish market in Lancaster County, Green Dragon Farmers Market and Auction is a must-stop shopping experience if you’re in the area.
Established in 1932, Green Dragon’s 60-acre site has grown to become an attraction all along the East Coast. With everything from a robust flea market to small animal auctions and eateries galore, you’re sure to find whatever you’re in the market for.
Or, as the locals say, The Green Dragon has everything from “soup to nuts!”
